Posting soon

Hi folks, I know I said I was going to take my time about posting and no longer break my neck about posting every day but it has now been nearly a week. The reason is that my family have been here from Belgium and we have been having a lot of fun with the kids and I have only managed about 2 hours of painting all week but so be it. I wouldn't have it any other way. I expect to have something to post within the next few days and in fact I am quite itching to get back to it.

Hi Sheila, I understand how real life gets in the way of painting sometimes. (But it's always in the back of our minds.) Can't wait to see what your next paintings are!

I've had the same kind of week. I'm happy to hear you're enjoying your family -- a well-deserved break!

Hi Janelle and Camille - nice of you to comment. It is good to take a break now and again, and it serves to remind us how much we miss the painting. Also today we visited a very picturesque and interesting town in north Yorkshire called Howarth and I raided an antique shop and bought a whole collection of new (old) jars and bottles for under £10 !

Your still life of those newly found objects is divine. Why don't we swap artworks sometime? :)

What a beautiful painting. The softness and the color.
I have also been on a week's hiatus having had my brothers' family here. Two little boys 5 & 3. I posted last night and funny I used the same word, "itching" to get at it.

Hi Mary, good to see you. There are so many of us painter-blogging now that it's hard to keep up with everybody. Thank you for your kind words on the painting. As to the family they are now back in Belgium but I am missing them! I had to promise I would go in the summer (but it is no hardship!).
