I live in Stalybridge, a small town in the north of England, not far from the city of Manchester but close to the Pennine hills. These new paintings are just thrilling! The colors are so vibrant and I love your linework (pen and ink?)... just to die for. It's a whole new side of your art I haven't seen and I love it.

Thanks all for visiting. I got home yesterday and despite the northern sunshine here am feeling the cold! I'm glad the paintings have a French feel to them. I missed Bonnard Rob. Some of his are in St Paul de Vence (up in the hills beyond Nice) but I never managed to get up there this time. Yes, he is one of my favourite figurative painters too.
