The Carousel

Gouache and ink on paper. Approx 10" x 7". Please email me if you are interested in purchasing
I think I saw this children's carousel off the Promenade des Anglais in Nice. It was nestled among the trees in a small park.

These studies are fun, Sheila. They feel lively fresh and...French!

Hope you're having a great getaway.

These new paintings are just thrilling! The colors are so vibrant and I love your linework (pen and ink?)... just to die for. It's a whole new side of your art I haven't seen and I love it.

Thanks all for visiting. I got home yesterday and despite the northern sunshine here am feeling the cold! I'm glad the paintings have a French feel to them. I missed Bonnard Rob. Some of his are in St Paul de Vence (up in the hills beyond Nice) but I never managed to get up there this time. Yes, he is one of my favourite figurative painters too.
