Mediterranean

This painting has been sold

Oil on hardboard 8" x 8".

Nothing shows up the brightness of the Mediterranean sun better than its buildings, themselves graceful and elegant architecture. What a combination.

This is right up my street (not the building "the painting"!)
it looks like you have painted this on a red background on wood, this all helps the brilliant texture and your brush work is great, love it.

Hi Keith, thanks for the vote of confidence! It is a dark red, actually mars violet deep (which W&N have discontinued and substituted with a similar colour of an even more complex name). It's hardboard though, not wood.

I've been following Stalybridge Paintings not knowing that REAL ART AT REAL PRICES existed and with such beautiful paintings.
