The Furnace
interior painting workshop artist sculptor studio industry mill factory
This painting has been sold
Acrylic on hardboard 8" x 8"
Another part of Woodend Mill where a sculptor (Mike?) working in paper(?) and metal has his workshop. At the time of my visit the furnace was not going but I bet it's a sight when it does.
Hello! I love your style and use of colors. Im very obsessed with browns also, I just have to use it everytime I paint. good to see some of the good works. best, Chloe
Thanks Chloe, there are a few of us around! Don't know what it is. I do like to see other people's work in brighter colours but when it comes to my own I tend to travel to the neutral end of the spectrum.
Oh Sheila, I love this one. The monochromatic palette is fabulous. I just visited your Sheila Vaughan blog and because comments are not enabled wasn't able to exclaim over your beautiful work there. I was particularly impressed and pleased with your "figurative" works. They are just slammin'! Happy Easter, Sheila. Stay warm ;) (I happened to hear from another British blogger that it is COLD over there today) ;)
Hello Mary - thanks for your kind words. I have been in Belgium for a week to stay with my daughter and we did get a bit of nice sunshine so I should not complain! Happy belated Easter to you too.

Thanks so much Regis
Brilliant draughtmanship Sheila, on the last two paintings. Well done and all the best.
Vic.
Thanks Vic. The drawing is one of the easier bits of the process for me. In fact sometimes it can get in the way!
this is so full of depth! Color scheme is amazing too! Hope you are doing well
Thanks Olha - yes, I'm fine. How's yourself?

Your art is beautiful. Love the earthy colors.
Thanks for your kind words Donna

Thanks sweet rose - it is what you make of it I suppose.
