The Furnace

interior painting workshop artist sculptor studio industry mill factory

This painting has been sold

Acrylic on hardboard 8" x 8"

Another part of Woodend Mill where a sculptor (Mike?) working in paper(?) and metal has his workshop. At the time of my visit the furnace was not going but I bet it's a sight when it does.

Thanks Vic. The drawing is one of the easier bits of the process for me. In fact sometimes it can get in the way!

Thanks Chloe, there are a few of us around! Don't know what it is. I do like to see other people's work in brighter colours but when it comes to my own I tend to travel to the neutral end of the spectrum.

Oh Sheila, I love this one. The monochromatic palette is fabulous.
I just visited your Sheila Vaughan blog and because comments are not enabled wasn't able to exclaim over your beautiful work there.
I was particularly impressed and pleased with your "figurative" works. They are just slammin'!
Happy Easter, Sheila. Stay warm ;)
(I happened to hear from another British blogger that it is COLD over there today) ;)

Hello Mary - thanks for your kind words. I have been in Belgium for a week to stay with my daughter and we did get a bit of nice sunshine so I should not complain! Happy belated Easter to you too.
