This is a rework of a painting I did some months ago. I was never completely satisfied with it and I really enjoy doing re-works. Originally in the "mirror" I had the profiled head of a woman looking out of the picture. I have now replaced that with one of my own landscapes. The painting is largely done from my imagination but I was inspired by a corner of my dining room. I sometimes "decide" not to do any more dry brush work - but then I find the brush taking on a life of its own. So be it.

Another part of Woodend Mill where a sculptor (Mike?) working in paper(?) and metal has his workshop. At the time of my visit the furnace was not going but I bet it's a sight when it does.
