I did sort of see that last one as a road rising up over a hill, so it's interesting to see where it next goes. The time of day seems to have changed, too. Perhaps a clue about the length of the trip.

Don't know Sam. Your guess is as good as mine.

you have brought a depth and richness to these 2 paintings that elevate them beyond just studies of color fields. Is it because you have worked from a base of realism toward the abstract? I know when I do that it seems to add more soul to connect with.

Funnily enough Bruce,no, I didn't do that. I simply started painting with no reference whatsoever except what came out of my head. But that is the point isn't it. I think loads of "images", "parts of images" get established in the data bank which is our brain and our mind just needs permission to make use of them. We don't have to "make sense of them" first. I'm not sure, that could be a pretentious statement.

I don't know why the curve makes this stunning, combined with the rich colour, but it does.

Barbara, I have been trying to re-capture that colour since but it is eluding me to my irritation.

What a great abstract painting, I really like this.
There's just enough suggestion of realism to invite you in, then your imagination can take over.

Thanks Leslie, I am enjoying simplifying things.

I think we are all on a 'curved path'.

As long as we're not on a "curved ball". Everyone on tv keeps saying that now and it really irritates me, lol.
