They came with bows in their hair

This painting has now been re-worked. See entry for 18th April above

Mixed media on hardboard 8" x 8"

Not sure what to say. They've both got bows in their hair. What springs from one's imagination is a total mystery to me. I increased the contrast slightly on the pic which makes me think I might go back and work on the image some more.

don't know why but i think metamorphosis-young girl evolves into mature woman-bows represent butterflies-cocooning circular shape- go figure..mind you i am reading a book about monarchs and migration--am really liking the circular shapes juxtaposed in these recent paintings...

Hi Jan, yes maybe. I didn't plan the two figures like that. It honestly just emerged but of course that doesn't mean there is not some psychological root. The circles too just keep coming out. Weird and funny.

Nice I love it that what is going on is unknown, its truer to life than neatly presented paintings.
Its like a fragment of an overheard conversation.

Y, thanks for your perceptive comment. A fragment of an overheard conversation - not making total sense to anyone but having some sort of meaning. That is quite something - do you paint or write?
