Last night's life drawing

This is charcoal on paper. She had a bright lamp shining on her right but she's got that "dazed" look that bored life models often get. She is probably miles away in a world of her own but on the other hand she could just be thinking, is it nine o'clock yet.

Lovely drawing! - to me she has the appearance of looking and listening and keeping her cards close to her chest.

I can already see this one in a new painting. I am imagining your composition. But of course you will surprise me. I love the drawing. Perhaps she's meditating. That's what I'd do if I had that job. I'm always glad that I don't.

XOXOXOXOXO Barbara

These drawings are very elegant, Sheila.
I especially enjoy the variety and points of emphasis in your use of line, and good old "lost and found."
My girlfriend is beautiful but so shy, and is reluctant to let me paint her.
What to do what to do...

Thanks all..
Marcia, yes she was a little like that I think though I don't know her very well.
Barbara, as you know anything is food for a new painting but I agree, life modelling takes a particularly special skill.
Bill, what can I say, some people just hate being painted, you have to respect that.
Nina, always nice to hear from you. Your photos are always a treat for the eyes!

Thank you Don. Life drawing always brings a deep satisfaction but I don't manage to go as often as I should.
