Ethiopian hospitality (an old one from 2005)

I did do a still life this morning but have spent ages trying to photograph it correctly. I seem to be picking up so much glare and the natural light is not good today anyway. I will try again tomorrow. In its place I am posting a painting I did in May 2005 which was about when I started painting regularly after a long absence. It's a still life done on the back of a hardboard panel with acrylic paints. You can see the weave of the board through the paint.
Acrylic on hardboard 16" x 20" £45 or $US90 plus p&p

Wow, you call me the colourist, but you are the queen of composition. I really like how you've placed everything to accentuate the design in the cloth.

  2. Hey thanks Materese, I really like working with composition. I was hopeless at maths at school but I loved geometry - all those wonderful angles :-)
