Oil on hardboard 8" x 8"
Learning strategy: Building up colour in the stone wall of that building and doing that with oils was not easy. I wanted the heat of the day to come through but there were blues in the wall as well as warm colours. I used the oils as sparingly as I could, the main body of the painting having been mapped out in acrylics.
I like these close-up figures a lot, Sheila. Great series overall.
