This is a smaller format than usual. I thought it would be good practice to try out a few different sized boards I had around the place. It was a chance too to work on tall buildings (in small spaces) and learn better how to eliminate detail whilst suggesting its presence. I have reposted the pic to get a better image.
Love this one and the next one- the sense of scale between the figure on the bike and the buildings is terrific and again, your figure, small as it is, looks in motion. Very nice Sheila!
ReplyDeleteHi Deborah, glad you like the 2 paintings. The sense of scale is what I was after and also the similarity between the two scenes in terms of subject and colour although the quality of light is different.
