Sedum (I)

This painting has been sold


Oil on hardboard 8" x 8" (approx)

I only have a small backyard but I do grow a few things there. The trouble is it gets very shady with honeysuckle and virginia creeper and similar things like ivy which quickly overpower anything else. These sedum though seem to be tough plants but I love the shapes of the flower heads and the waxy leaves.

    My favorite part of this painting is the bright yellow of the crock against the duller yellow backdrop-- As always, your brushwork is lovely.
