Watchers 1 & 2

These are going to be part of a project of initially seven figures.  The way the surface colour was applied was a major challenge as I did not want a great deal of variation within the whole group although I want each figure to appear as an individual within his/her family.  I stippled layers of acrylic  paint on in the end letting each layer dry in between applications. I love the way the stippling gives them life and makes me think of weathered stone. Will now need to apply sealer or varnish, not yet decided.
