Haddon Hall, The Portrait

This painting has been sold

Oil on hardboard 7.5" x 8"

Not sure who the gentleman in the portrait is but it looks about 16th century. Sorry about the little bit of glare under the chest next to the chair. It isn't in the painting!

  4. Rob, this was such a brilliant place. I could have easily settled in. It was so "natural" you know, compared to some of the bigger "stately homes".

  5. I'm just loving those latest interiors Sheila. You just have captured the timelessness of those historical houses. As you say, those windows could be so fiddly but you've managed to capture the overall effect so well.
    Well done!

  6. Thanks Marjorie, Haddon is one of the smaller, more intimate old houses. They are opening for the Christmas season for the first time this year so I'm longing to go back and have another look!
