Undergrowth

 


Acrylic gouache on paper c. 18 x 15 inches

Today I wanted to work in a simpler, more direct way so I picked up my acrylic gouache paints and a large water colour pad.  I love the way the white of the paper shows through and becomes an important part of the piece.

    Thanks Barbara. I think you might like the gouache, especially the acrylic gouache (in the UK Turner's do a nice one, also Holbein). The acrylic gouache dries just like normal gouache but it's waterproof once it's dried, whereas normal gouache is never waterproof so would have to be framed behind glass I guess.
