Oil on hardboard 8" x 8" Not for sale
I don't know if this guy was a postman but his bag looked like a postman's bag albeit empty. I loved his waistcoat and have wanted to paint that yellow waistcoat for some time. Now I've done it!
What did I learn, what am I learning - I like figurative painting; and I'm settling into a way of paint application which pleases me and causes me not to want to experiment any more at the moment. Of course I might think differently next week. Who knows. A few of these paintings are not up for sale as I am thinking I might enter a couple of competitions in September. Will keep you posted.
This is really nice. I imagine him to be someone who just received a birth photo of his new great-grandchild, and he just bought a picture frame for it (now in his bag) at that shop to the right. Wonderful painting and thank you for sharing!
