Acrylic, pastel and charcoal on gesso panel 16" x 12"
Ok, continuing the conversation from the post below, this is what I mean. There is a motif plus a secondary motif. The colour is more subdued. The painting is more "real" and "personal" to me. It touches me this painting. It is certainly more "real" to myself.
And I've learned that I don't need all these tubes of paint, just a red, yellow, blue/violet, brown-black and white and I can go as high or low chroma as I want plus I can mix amazing greys so what's not to like? The whole thing will be varnished when it has cured properly.
